The opt-out message is displayed at the bottom of emails sent from within the database, typically emails sent to your members and groups. This disclaimer includes a link to allow the recipient to opt-out of these group emails. Default messages have been configured for you, but you may customize them as needed.
- Select Setup on the left-hand menu.
- Select General Options & Settings.
- In the Email Server Settings section, the Internal Email Disclaimer will be displayed. Customize this disclaimer as needed.
- WARNING: DO NOT EDIT OR REMOVE THE UNSUBSCRIBE LINK! It is required by law and editing it breaks the link. If this occurs, it must be escalated to our second-level support team to replace/repopulate the link properly, and this is likely a billable task.
- Add Public Email Disclaimer to All Emails: enable this option to automatically include the Public Disclaimer message on all emails, even emails to a single person.
- When this checkbox is not enabled, only mass emails going out of the system will display the Public Disclaimer message at the bottom of the email.
- You may wish to include a link to your Privacy Policy. To do so, please include a link in your disclaimer to your own public module URL that is pointed to /communication/privacypolicy.
