While ChamberMaster can assist with removing or adjusting directory visibility within your Member Information Center (MIC), it’s important to understand that removing a listing from your website does not automatically remove it from search engines like Google.
If a member’s information continues to appear in Google Search after it's been removed or hidden on your website, the member (or you, on their behalf) can submit a request to Google directly.
When to Use the Google Removal Tool
Use this tool if:
-
A member’s listing has been removed or hidden from your chamber’s website, but still appears in Google search results.
-
Outdated or sensitive personal content appears in search results (e.g., phone number, address, or personal name).
|
Note: Google controls its own indexing. This tool does not guarantee immediate removal and should only be used after confirming the content is no longer available on your site. |
