The “look and feel” of the public website modules may be customized using menu selections in Event Options and Settings or Directory Control Panel. Hot Deals, Job Postings, and MarketSpace also have several settings that may be controlled. All these options can be found under the Association Options section of Setup.
Event Options and Settings
General Settings:
- The Upcoming and Featured Events lists allow you to display your events in a widget on your website. Upcoming events will automatically pull new events as they are added. Featured events can be changed by clicking on the “edit featured events” link.
- You can also enable RSS icons to appear on the Event Search page for easy subscribing (V3 modules only).
- iCal Import is available if there are other calendars whose events you would like to have to appear on your organization’s calendar as well.
Calendar Search Options
Here, you can modify the wording of some of the main titles, buttons, and links that appear on your Public Calendar page.
- Default Date Range will set how far out the calendar should display by default.
- You can also control how the calendar is displayed when a specific date is selected as well as control how users are allowed to filter the public calendar.
Directory Control Panel
Directory Search Page
The settings here allow you to configure how visitors can filter their search results. You can modify how location filtering works if you’d like QuickLinks and the Category dropdown to be shown, as well as how they’re shown. See Directory Overview for more information.
Search Results
Here you can control if visitors can contact multiple members at once and if organization staff approval is required before that message is delivered. You can also control which membership statuses show up in the directory using the status filter.
Hot Deal Settings
Here, you can adjust how hot deal purchasing works, adjust the RSS feed settings, enable public Member-to-Member Deals, and enable the Hot Deals Newsletter. For more information, see Hot Deal Settings.
Job Posting Settings
Allows you to adjust the pricing on job posting purchases, adjust RSS settings, adjust the Jobs module title, and enable or disable allowing visitors to submit job postings for approval. For more information, see Job Posting Settings.
MarketSpace Settings
Allows you to adjust the pricing for MarketSpace purchases, adjust RSS feed limits, and adjust the captions within MarketSpace. For more information, see MarketSpace Initial Setup.
